Hi everyone, just picked up my new Cobalt SS this evening, and figured I needed to find a forum to keep up on things :) .
It is Black on Black, loaded with about everything except OnStar.
They say it was designed for the younger generation, but us older farts like it too! I think Chevy did a heck of a job on this car... I can't wait to drive it to work tomorrow :D .
Take care,

Congrats! Welcome aboard!! By every option, do you mean you got the G85 package, with the LSD and the black(or are they grey?) Recaro seats? Blacks the color Im lookin for in 06! Post pics!
Chris
Sorry about that guys, but after reading over the owners manual, I found out that there are a few options I don't have(heated seats???). I knew about the Recaro seats, but neglected those due to the reviews on them being uncomfortable. I have the ebony leather package with the SS emblems. No LSD either, and I don't know what the G85 package is. It does have the power sunroof package, and a ton of buttons on the steering wheel that even controls the satellite stereo.
This car has more options then any car I have ever had for the price. The dealer even had the windows tinted for me. They put limo tint on the back windows, and legal on the side door windows. If it wasn't for the defroster on the back glass, you wouldn't know there was glass there :)

Welcome aboard Harold good to see an older guy with some style
Yep, 44 as of the 23rd of last month... But hey! Most of the guys I see driving the new Mustangs have got to be in their 60's and 70's :D

Take care,

The G85 package is the Recaro seats and the LSD together and unfortunately, none of the SS's come with heated seats. If you have two antennas on the roof, one in the front, and one in the rear then you have Onstar also. Side curtain air bags are the only other option not mentioned, not sure exactly what it looks like if you have them.

I'm 32 and I was beginning to feel old listening to all these guys talk about taking their SS's to college. :D

LOL :D , I know what you mean about feeling old...
Mine does have the side curtain airbags, and you can tell (other then the window sticker)because you will have these 4 round caps that say airbag. Two on the front A pillar, and two in the rear near the roof line trim.

Heh, this car definately does appeal to the younger crowd, though, and it's going to get me in trouble. I get a lot of 16-18 year old girls (probably college age, the older I get the younger they look) flirting with me here and there now that I didn't with any of my other cars. Must be the huge wing on the car, because it definately ain't my big sexy pot-belly or graying beard!

For the ladies, it's not how you look, it's how you present yourself. ;)

OMG  !! That sounds just like me, except I don't have a beard(just mustache), and a little beer belly. Had a car full of kids pull up along side of me today revving up the engine at me, and giving me the thumbs up. Hope they didn't think I was stuck up because I couldn't roll the window down(new tint) and wave back..

Wow you did a really nice job with your fiero. Does it fool alot of people???
Oh yea! It fooled a lot of people, but that wasn't the intention when I built it. It took me 3 years and $25,000 in receipts to build it, and it wound up being a dissapointment. There was to many electrical/computer problems with it, and I am not an electrician. I sold it almost a year ago with a loss of about 10K. It was a fun project, and taught me a lot, but I think I will stick to newer cars :D

SRT-Man... I paid $22,850 out the door, and I don't regret one red cent. It is a kick in the pants to drive, and I am sure there will be some nice aftermarket accessories coming out soon that will make it even better.

Thats too bad about the Fiero Lonewholf but its good that it taught you a lesson. Iam in the market for a new car and in a toss up over the SRT4 and the SS/SC but Iam leaning towards to SS just because Id rather wear a bowtie. Sure the SRT4 is faster but give Gravana some time to develop some more aftermarket products for the SS. www.gravana.com

Actually I am originally from Leander right out side of Austin. It has completely changed since I was last there, so I would probably need a guide :)

Give a hollar of your ever up this way...
