How many 05 SS's built?
Hi I'm new here. I just bought a black 05 SS and love it. A dealer said there were only 500 05 SS's made. Is that true? Doesn't sound right to me. Does anyone know? If so that sure seems like a limited amount...... Just wondering. Thanks................

yeah there are deffinitly more than 500 made. ive seen about three where i live including mine. soooooo yeah, that guys a lieing piece of shit. haha

production numbers according to color sure would be nice.. Especially since people are saying Arrival Blue Metallic is discontinued!
I sent off an email to Chevy.com and this is what I got back:
"Thank you for contacting the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. I appreciate you taking the time to write us in regards to your 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt and the production number concerns.
I apologize, but the production numbers will not be available till the second quarter of next year. The vehicle is still in production and you could not tell by the vehicle identification number (vin) how many were produced"
Someone else had started a similar thread on here awhile ago, and I started one on another forum, but no one has stepped up with any info yet that I've seen. I'd just like to know what number mine is since it was built in February.
