Hey everybody,

I just purchased my brand new 05 Arrival Blue Metallic Cobalt SS on Monday. It's pretty funny, I had been looking for a car w/ good economical standards, and comfortable but was still "quick". I went to a local Chevrolet dealership and test drove a silver CSS and was pretty astonished @ its very deceptive acceleration. I quickly fell in love with it. Now the funny part is, my previous (first love you could say) car was a 1998 Mustang GT. I had dumped so much money into it, ported PI heads, VT Stg II cams, Full exhaust, gears, and lots of tuning....I really hated to see her go. But being my age and going into college, I decided it was time to get something a little tamer you could say (best run N/A @ the track w/ the GT was a 12.60 @ 110mph w/ a 1.78 60ft). Anyway, to make a long story short, I ended up buying the SS and have been absolutely loving it for the past two short days. Best part is, even all my mustang buddies think it's a nice car ;) . I can't wait for the aftermarket support to start rolling in for these.....maybe KenneBell will jump on the ball and make a twin screw for us :D . Also, anyone here from Houston? I haven't seen a single other CSS here yet.

Here's a pic, I'll post more in the pics forum:

and a pic of my old stang...for ol' times sake:

Thanks, Nice forum you have too, I like the lay out! It's definitely a big transition going from a modular v8 to a blown 4cyl. But learning is half the fun!

Congrats, and nice looking car... I had an 02 Mustang GT before my CSS, so I kind of know how you feel :)

Tofu, actually it is/was not a real Ferrari... It was a 1985 Pontiac Fiero chassis with a 98 3800 SC V6, with full poly suspension. I cut down a 2000 Firebird interior and crammed it in it for the interior, and put a 308 Replica body on it. If you would like to waste some time, you can go here and see a gallery of most of the build up: http://www.texasfieros.com/members/haroldw/haroldw.htm

enjoy :D
