I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this problem but I couldn't find a thread on this. I drive a 09 SS and recently I bent the b***om right corner of my stock IC. I took it to the Chevy dealer to get it looked at and they're telling me I need to have it replaced. The dent in my IC is not HUGE but the water collector underneath my IC is hanging by the bolt on the left. I did a little quick fix and used metal wires to tie it up so its not hanging and scraping on the ground. Its been about 2 weeks since I've dented my IC, and I haven't had any kind of problems with it at all. My engine temp is still under 190 and I'm still putting out around 15 pounds. My question is should I get an after market IC or stick with the stock IC. I still have my 5 year/50,000 mile warranty. But most IC incidents aren't factory defects. So back to the question, After market or OEM?
