iPod Connection

Hey all,
I was just wondering if anyone has attempted to put an auxillary line into the stock head unit (such as an iPod), or if anyone knows if it is possible to remove the XM connector and replace it with a line in, in some sort of easy install.

Otherwise, would the Pioneer CD-IB100 (www.) work with this head unit?

...I'd really like to hook my iPod up directly instead of using the iTrip - don't get me wrong, it's still a great way to go, but the sound quality is somewhat lacking.

Cobalts use a 24-pin single connector radio and databus line. PAC hasn't made an aux-Pod iPod input for that yet. I'd expect it within the year. It emulates a CD changer and lets you control the iPod with your steering wheel buttons...while at least it did in my buddy Sean's Monte Carlo. It was nice.

Look for it here at PAC Audio in the future.
Monster makes something called the iCruz. It simulates a cd changer and hooks up to most stock headunits. And obviously you plug it into your ipod as well.
search on SS.net there is a walk throught there, its stupid easy. Dude knows his stuff. I didn't write it tho. Props to him
