the redline uses 5w-30. Mobile 1 is what they recommend
Well according to the owners manual the engine is filled with a Mobil 1 synthetic oil. They recommend SAE 5W-30.
the reason i was asking was that the dealership told me that when my car got here that they would have to change the oil, if this is so i was going to buy some mobil 1 syn. to put in it. Has anyone heard of the delerships doing this as part of their PDI. BTW I got an email from the cobalt marketing team that told me that my car was put on a train on March 23 and is scheduled for delivery on April 9 (lets keep our fingers crossed)
Damn snythetic it is so expensive i can get regular oil for free from my dad. :(
syn is only 25 for 5 qrts
i much rather run syn than any other oils.
I'll probably run Mobil1 Syn. as well, I dont mind splurging when it comes to takin care of somethin nice.
