I just got a quote from the GM dealer on a supercharger for my 2.2L and the stage 2 upgrade, $2400 in parts and $50 in labor. My 30k warranty is about to run out thanks to driving from virginia to michigan to visit friends and family, bummer. Well the good thing out of it is that now i can mod the engine without worry of warrnty being voided. I've been looking at turbo tech racing and i have already bought the cam's, valve springs, over bored pistons, and the valves themselfs. Now ill be saving for an extra head to get ported and polished so i can still drive my car. As for the $2400 thing, tax returns baby, tax returns. My goal is 500hp w/ shady shot. I like the instant power when my foot hits the peddal, not have to wait for a turbo to wind up 60 ft down the strip do to exhust lag. I've seen many turbo cars get beat off the line and the supercharged cars get a 4 car link lead before they catch up at the end only to reach the supercharged cars rear bumper.

lol you are going to have to teach me how to post on here, this forum seams to be different. And thanks for helping me out with. Meeting up would be cool. I'm working on fixing the front, after i put the body kit on i smashed the front air dam and re built it. Once i got back to VA the parking lot at the ship yards has caused the fiber-glass bondo to wear off and crack underneath, need to put some plate under it before it brakes all the way again.

nahh there is a guy back home that takes your stock auto trany and rebuilds it with titainium gears for $1800 installed

I have a muscle car mantality, id much rather get my power from over bore and cams. No offence to tuners i like them too, i just can't let go of all the american engine heratige, the engine work is just something i have to do. If it turns out that the work is better then a turbo set up, most likely will, then it will all be worth it.

I completely agree, If you have the time and knowledge to build the motor, by all means so it. I also grew up with muscle and these tuners can be just as much fun to build up.

Sorry didnt want you to think of me being close minded, its just hard to let go what ive grew up with. My uncle can help me out. He just finished a 1970something chevy C-10 panel truck, 502 bore over to 512 w/ NOs, every part on it except the block is chrome. He painted it viper red along with the block. Just before i left home to come back to VA i helped him instal his NOs purg valve and pluming up to his windshield. He wasted a whole bottle just messing with the purg valve. Some 69z28 wanted to race him till he hit the purg valve. Lol it was funny, or at least we thought so.

this is his first trophy ever and it just happens to be a first place trophy beating out a 69camaroSS the kid in the pic is his son
