Hello all,

I've come to a cross roads with my cars. I own a 1995 Dodge Neon Turbo Sedan (www.riddlerneon.com) that has pretty much every mod I can do. The cars paid off and only gets driven to shows and on summer weekends. My two car garage has room for another baby. My tow vehicle/daily driver (1994 Dodge Ram) will be paid off this year I may trade it in on a new Cobolt SS.

I have a long list of cars to go test drive. Lucky I'm not planning a new car purchase till Late 2006.

Anyway here are the cars I'm thinking:

Redline Ion
Cobolt SS
Sky
Solice
SRT4
The replacement for the Neon (yet to be annouced)

I'm really thinking I'm going to go with the SS because of current sponsorships. I have quite a few sponsors and I think if I got an SS I could get them to make products for the car.

I've also worked with Modern Performance and I'm sure they will be suppling products for the vehicle as well.

Just some more info about me. I've been in the Neon scene for about 6-7 years. I've helped create clubs for the neon. I'm also an administrator at www.neons.org

Anyway,

Hello!

welcome to the site.damn there's alot of dodge owners here! as well as our friends
in the great white north. have fun selecting from your list of fine cars.
Welcome to the site. You have one of te nices Neons that i have seen seriously. But i think you should go with the SS it will have alot of backing by alot of companys unlike that Redline sadly is not getting alot of backing right now.
Well the Redline is the Red-headed step child of the Gm family. It was the same way for the Neon for the first few years. I'm sure aftermarket companies will come around.

I've driven the Redline Ion last summer when my uncle brought it home for me for a night. He's a GM dealer principal. Anyway the car seemed to have some get up and go. But nothing like my turbo SOHC neon or the SRT4 I've driven. Also I was not impressed with the suspension on the car.

I've been reading about the specs of the SS and so far I'm impressed. Does anyone have a detailed list of production specs? I've gone to quite a few sites and only seen pre-production specs. Which as we all know change. I'm on my way to www.generalmotors.ca right now to see what they have listed.

What mods area already available for these cars? I've only seen exhuasts and companies that are producing intakes. I'm hoping many more will get in line with this.

My only complaint with the SS is the the rear suspension. I mean every car i the class other than the GM's have 4 wheel independant suspension. Why on earth is GM still using the semi-independent torsion beam with stabilizer bar? I mean the money they could do 4 wheel independant. This sin't going to matter to the street racers and drag racers but for people who like to play on the road course and autox track this isn't acceptable. Why is it the Solstice and can have 4-wheel independent SLA suspension and the Sky can have 4-wheel independent suspension with coil-over-Bilstein monotube shocks but not the SS?

Well lucky for me there are going to be tons of cars to choose from. Who knows. Rumor is the Neon replacement wil have 5 body styles. Maybe one of them will tickle my fancy.

The SS has a twin chargerer comeing out from one company and exhaust, intake and much more to come.
oh you just have to get a Cobalt so we can keep our family together. We could all get our Cobalts together once and year and just have this big beautiful cobalt rainbow . ;)
Who knows..

If I do end up getting one It'll be a mode year 2006. I'd much rather wait for the 2.4L and also hope to hell the LSD/Recaro's come to Canada.

I'm really thinking the Sky will take my heart away. Who knows till you drive it though.

Riddler
Yeah I think a built and blown 2.4L will waste an SS/SC!!!
oh and yourtoogaytobeok, you're not IN the family. You're just an unwanted visitor that wont leave. Sort of like an inlaw but worse. You have no relation to us and never will.
And wether you drive a Neon, Focus or Fiat. Gay is not ok. Go back to your
gay forum. Get yourself a pink Kia. Stick of course, cause your gonna need
that stick. You could buy yourself a Huyndai, maybe. Cause there ain't nothin
gay about a Cobalt SS.

You sir are an unenlightened idiot. Hate this person for being a "troll" not for being gay ! Being from Tenn. where the term " Uncle-Dad " and where girls say " My daddy says I'm the best kisser" who are you anyway? Just a computer geek hoping to one day that you dad will get you a car. My boyfriend and I are going to get into our Cobalt Ls coupe and go for a drive, have a nice evening wishing you had a car to drive . :)
Wow, lotta hate coming from cobaltss.com.
I retract anything remotely nice I said to this fuckin retard! I mean really "Kneel and Bob (as in cheicken head)" Good eye C!!
CoBIZZLE, You got nothin to apologize for. I agree with you he's not really
gay, he's just tryin' to mock the Cobalt SS. I guess he can't afford one.

Maybe mr. kneel n' bob should hook up with the other FLAMER and spank him
for his naughty tricks. This forum is about cars (Cobalt SS Forums) not
*******. yeah I said *******. So what. Get your head checked.
