I bought an 07 Cobalt SS about 2 weeks ago... It has a 2.0, stage 2 supercharger. Anyway, i was driving it today, and noticed that when i was holding the clutch down, like if i was going to stop, it would rev up, the RPMs would go up, and my foot wasnt touching the gas pedal. Can anyone tell me why that would be happening? Thanks guys!

Ok, well i noticed that it will only do it when i have the A/C running, and it never goes over 1500 RPMs. Does the A/C have something to do with it perhaps? And if it is the cat converter, wont the dealership replace it since it was recalled? I had no idea that there was a recall.... Next question, i want to upgrade to a stage 2, 2+ or stage 3, clutch kit, right now it has the stock clutch, do y'all know where i can get one for a good deal? And which one would be the best for the car, it is a daily driver. And would it be best to go ahead and get a new flywheel too, or just continue using the stock flywheel? Like i said, ive only had the car for about 2 weeks now, I absolutely love it, but i've never dealt with a car that has a supercharger, nor has my boyfriend lol, and you guys have more experience so hopefully y"all can help me out!

If its doing it with your AC on, that is completely normal. The RPMs should be bouncing when coming to a stop, rev up, almost stall and then repeat a couple times. I thought it was bad too but it happens to all SC models. The dealer should replace the cat under warranty if it is out. To tell that is also by hearing a metal rattle when under load or just at idle.... And at WOT, you will feel a loss of power in higher RPMs. Hope this helps!
