NO SILVER SS's ANYWHERE????
ok, I live in NJ. I have looked through the entire state of NJ, and found 2 silver SS's. One SS has no options except OnStar, the other has everything including G85. All I want is airbags, sunroof, and XM (i guess). I searched 30 dealerships in NY....1 Silver SS, and it had everything except the G85. PA, 35 dealerships, 1 Silver SS, with every option. How come I can get a red one at every dealership? I mean, aren't red, black and silver the 3 most popular car colors?? I guess GM didn't want to send any silver SS's over to the East Coast. So, if I can't find one by July 5th, I may be getting a red one. Not that red is bad, but everyone has it. Even blue is hard to find. I had a better chance of finding Yellow then silver. Thats when you know something is weird lol. So if anyone knows how to locate cars, please locate a Silver, SS, with airbags, XM, and sunroof. The XM is optional, but it seems to come on every vehicle. I will drive to NY, MD, PA, anywhere in NJ to get a f-ing silver one. Thanks

thanks. I have spent hours trying to locate one, and the only ones I find have either ever option, or no options. Sucks I cant find the color I want...

thanks dude. sucks that all the silver have either 24,150 options (all except G85) and the other 2 only had the sunrood, no airbags. So, i will talk to my dealer to see if maybe they can trade for a silver so I dont have to drive to MD. thanks man..stupid NJ has like 2...i hate NJ!!!

LOL Pa is loaded with SS's and MD has alot to. No problem i try to help as much as possable.
If you live near Newark, I can understand why there aren't any nearby. I can't even imagine what the insurance for an SS would be around there...

where do you live??? there are a few silver ones, but they either come fully loaded, or with nothing. There are so many red ones its not even funny. The red ones come with sunroof....sunroof and airbags...airbags and xm...everything...if you want red you can find the options package you want. hopefully in the coming weeks dealerships will get some silver in with my options...why is silver the "rare" color? i think one person on here has a SS silver...
I did a locate from the dealership I work at. I found only 5. There are 4 Silvers with a roof, side curtains, and XM. There is one with G85. These are within a 200 mile radius of us north of Philadelphia. I can get more specifics if you need them.

Thanks a lot for that link. It was very helpfull. To the guy who found 5 dealerships, if they have airbags, sunroof, XM (dont want it, but every cobalt seems to come with it), lemme know. I dont want onstar, and I really dont want the G85 package. Thanks a lot everyone for your help. Hopefully I can find one before july 5th and join the cobalt crew
You need to buy what you find.
The employee deal is being offered to clear out the big SUV's before showing new models. The deal on others is strictly to clear 2005 inventory because they are done allocating for 2005 models. If it has not been accepted as an order you will have to wait. With the months most car dealers have had as of late they will go get one for you. This is a one time shot at THE DEAL of our time. Ask around to anyone in the business. The union is Pissed off because this is their perk. Not for everyone Boo Hoo call the wwaaaahhbulance.

maybe I should change the post to "NO BLUE OR SILVER ANYWHERE" because there are 2 silver in NJ, and I believe no blue ones here either. I dont know what it is, but its like if there are 50 dealers in NJ, 35 red, 6 black, 2 silver, 4 yellow, and 3 oranges. why does my state suck more then any other in the entire world...

i know my state sucks. every option i want, I cant find. i went from 1 color, and 2 options, all the way to three colors, and 4 options. I want either red, blue or silver, with the G85, no onstar...every other option I dont care about. maybe i'll just get screwed and have to order an 06 and get raped on the price. GM sucks sometimes, and so does NJ
