175ish Hp, I believe it is the middle model. Between the Coupe and the SS.

Pretty sure that's what I heard, the 2.2 in stock form, the 2.4 in mid-level, and the 2.0 SC in the top model.

Here are the ACTUAL Engines

These are the engines for the Cobalt:

Base and LS - 2.2 Ecotec 140HP
SS modela - NEW 2.4 Ecotec 170HP
SS SUpercharged - German built 2.0 Supercharged 205HP (estimated)

This is what you will get! Whatever dealer told you 3.0 - all I can say is run as fast away from them as you can!

The dealer told me the non super charged cobalt ss was a 3.0 liter but it still wasnt as fast as the super charged 2.0
Salesmen are so misinformed... When I was out for a test drive he was telling me about the Cobalt SS *AND* Cobalt SC... He's pointing at the brochure where it says "Cobalt SS/SC".

I've debadged and rebadged my car. Salesmen don't even know what I drive and there are literally thousands of RSXes on the street. It's one thing to not know older cars but current model cars??? I don't get how these misinformed people make sales.

I should sell cars part time... I could use the extra $$$.

Yep, it's gonna be a powerhouse. I wonder if you'd have to decrease your compression ratio as well... Well, I think you'd be fine. I don't think the CR is going to be too high.
