hi guys im new here. i raced a cobalt the other day here in phoenix, and i thought they were pretty quick he said he was stock, so i decided to come on here.


well i was waiting at a red light when this black cobalt gets next to me and starts revving his engine(i must say i was kinda worried i gheard they are pretty fast) so when the light turns green, and i had him from the launch about half a car length when i shifted to tsecond i extended it to a car, and he never got any closer than that all in all it was pretty quick for being stock. i have to give you guys a thumbs up!

thats what im sayin maybe it was a ls or somethin my buddys brothers got a spec v with an aem intake, greddy cat back, aluminum heads and a vtec controller and he keeps up with me but id have to be a terrible driver to lose to him...but dont get me wrong those spec v's are quick lil rides

why would a spec v need a vtec controller?

anyways... here's another case of bad driver with a good driver i think he would have got you or atleast tied. on paper the SS is "suppose" to have the advantage. good kill.

Trust me, I've raced an SVT, that had an intake and exhaust,and destroyed it in my SS. I'm talking like almost 3 car lengths up to 60 mph. The Sentra does not have a chance against a good driver!!

im sorry but unless you know what you are saying dont talk i'll rape an svt focus even if he had intake header and exhaust. the spec-v is very comparable to an rsx type s. with the rsx pulling it out by a hair . now in handling the svt is far superioir its actually great but its not very good in acceleration. a supercharged focus did a 14.7 in the quarter mile(it was a jacksons racing supercharger) my car with a good driver should hit mid 14's it does 15.1 stock so please dont say anything if you have no idea what you are talking abou

I don't think you know what you're talking about. A stock Spec-V hitting mid 14's? You're pretty stupid if you think you could manage that. I also take it you're not a good driver from what you said above. I managed a 14.71 my first time at the track. The rest of the day was wash, literally.

and your right stock ss hit mid 14's mine hits low 15's stock(15.1) so your saying i cant beat a stock ss with me adding header intake exhaust and motor mount inserts. if you knew anything about spec-v's you would understand the huge difference motor mounts make it alows you to launch properly. motor mounts were the last things i installed and boy oh boy what a difference they make! but i never said my car stock was as fast as your ss cobalts. i said my modified spec-v beat a stock ss cobalt

Then why can't you pull a mid 14? Because you don't have enough mods to due so. I am not bashing Sentra's, Nissans are good cars. I've seen many in action at the drag strip. But low 15's is pretty common on that car with those mods.

i dont go to the track im not paying 20 dollars but for some reason and not everybody is an excellent driver i admit im not but i could've been better than the other guy. magazine times those are professional drivers. when you put equal drivers the out will be pretty accurate. i see people with srt-4 hitting 13.6 stock while other hit mid 14's does that mean all srt-4s are mid 14's cars, no!! they are in fact high 13's. dont think cause what you have seen is the same exception for all drivers/cars, and i bet you that there are some drivers on here with the ss cobalt that hit high 15's stock does that mean they cant break 14's?..........i'll let you think bout that for a minute
