I received a card today from my dealership that gives me access to an online account. This account (www.idriveonline.com) is where you can record your vehicle info, and check on things like recalls.. Which brings me to my post
When I looked under recall information( didn't expect to find anything) this was what it said:
"CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THE BULB SHIELDS INSIDE OF THE HEADLAMPS CAN LOOSEN DUE TO VIBRATION. THE BULB SHIELD CAN LOOSEN OR BREAK BECAUSE OF VIBRATION. IF THIS OCCURRED ON A HEADLAMP INSTALLED IN A VEHICLE, ONCOMING DRIVERS MAY NOTICE ADDITIONAL GLARE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. DEALERS WILL INSTALL TWO NEW HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 17, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438"
Anyone heard of this? Guess I will call my dealer tomorrow. LMK

If the recall began in November '04, they should have had that issue fixed in the assembly line before your SS was built (production began in February). I use mygmlink.com and I am currently not showing any recalls on there (mine was built in February). I think that particular recall is meant for the base/LS/LT models.

I agree with both of you, however I am still going to call the dealer tomorrow to see whats up. If they are going to give you access like this, then they should at least have the correct information for the vehicle you purchased :p :D
