Hi,

It's sort of funny because at the dealer level, we don't get much feedback as far as delays at the factory and such, except when we have to be the bearers of the bad news and get the egg in our face and let you know that your car hasn't been built yet, and we have no idea when it will. It's tough for us too, because we only make money when we sell a car.

My opinion is GM should not have hyped up the Superchqarged as much without having any inventory, and it's great they spent millions and millions on those TV and Print ads, but all I know is that official Supercharged Production just started like a week a go on the 16th of Feb, so things are rolling, and Quality Control is very important.

I posted every one that is in Built Status and only one so far produced, or so that's what I saw on my end.

Here is the email address to the Cobalt Marketing Team, they may not like the fact I posted their email address, but what can they do - FIRE ME! [email protected]

yeah, like, I can't find another commssion sales job! As much as I truly like selling cars, this job has way too many hassles, but what job doesn't.
Hey thanks for the email address, I just sent them an email talkin about the release date and all the mechanical problems i keep gettin told about.

If you go to a dealer to locate one, look here first

I can tell many of you are going to the dealer and they are trying to locate these cars, well here is a heads up on what to look for:

There are 3 Event codes when looking up cars on the GM Locator, and unless you put in the right Event code, you only see some, or none, but here is the skinny:

When a dealer runs a locate, they are usually are looking at Event Code 5000 - which finds vehicles DELIVERED TO DEALER.

here is how I found all those Cobalt Supercharged I told you all about a zillion times....and if you go to the dealer, have them do this too

Event Code 3800 shows all VEHICLES PRODUCED
Event Code 3000 shows all ORDERS ACCEPTED BY GM PRODUCTION CONTROL

I just ran a fresh locate and the only ones showing up are under Event Codes 3800 (just one) and 3000 (the rest).

A lot of people Mike! And if you think about it, the RL is in, what, it's second, at least, year of production and it IS the SAME car w/ different body panels and badges. I have heard of NO problems since their debut.

What you getting so excited about? That's in Canadian dollars. Using the currency converter you end up with $22,517.84 USD. Even if it seems a little high, usually our car models come with winter packages. For example, I've got heated seats and mirrors and a block heater whereas some of these aren't even options in the US models.

What do you expect when we can have heated garages when they're part of our igloos?
