I love these cars, but I have always wondered some q's....on gtp's you have to start scanning for knock detonation after a 3.4 pulley swap or better. You guys have no intercooler, as the gtp's dont either......how do you scan? Do you guys scan? I see all the time you guys run 2.8 pullies, on a gtp that would be death w/o a diagnostics scan and tune.......you would blow your engine sky high...just wondering what you guys do, because I would like to know....What kind of boost psi do you guys see as well? With my car now and a 3.4 pulley, I see roughtly 12-14lbs

A few points (and welcome to the site by the way!)

1) The cobalt SS/SC is intercooled. As a matter of fact, our intercooler is one of the most efficient stock intercoolers out there!

2) Stock SS/SC's hit 12.5 psi

3) Stage 2 SS/SC's hit 15-16 psi

4) The 2.8" pulley + GMPP stage 2 is a populer combination on this site because you can run it without an aftermarket tune. But most people get custom tunes and change to 1 step colder spark plugs to really optimize performance and avoid knock.

hope this helps!
