SrT4 gets smoked

I smoked a brand new srt4 the other day the kid wanted to race when i was pumping gas so me and my freind hope in my car and this kid was by himself we pulled 2-3 cars on him right way and stayed that why as soon has we got out of the car the kid was like what can i do to make my car faster me and my friend laugh at him .

sorry to say it but that guy must not know how to drive. my roommate has an srt 4 and i am pretty sure he will pull on me. we should be running them this week. i will keep you guys posted on how i do against him.

I second the motion of bs if it was an srt4 vs. a cobalt. Stock for Stock the SRT is faster but just wait until some mods are available for the SS owners.

Disclaimer: The events described below DID NOT happen. In fact, we do not even own cars. If I did own a car it would be an SRT and if my roommate owned a car it would be a Cobalt SS

We just got back from doing some runs and I gotta say that it was closer than I expected. We raced once from a dig and quite a few runs from a roll. The first race was from a 60 roll and I pretty much just walked aways from him by a few cars up to about 100. When we raced from a dig he was ahead through all of first and when I powershifted into 2nd I jumped ahead and continued to walk him through 3rd and 4th and we let off at about 120. We raced a lot more times from a roll and once we started going over about 50 mph is when I would start to walk away. It was a very fun time I must say. Once some mods are available for those cars poeple better not take them lightly.

Sounds like last week when I beat a Spec-V that tried to beat me from a rolling start, kept him behind me but he complained he lost because he had 2 extra people in the car with him, meanwhile I didn't rev to redline before shifting.

First of all, any real racer would know how big of a disadvantage having an extra person in a car while racing. Second, do you really expect us to believe that a slower car with an extra person in it could really beat a faster car? I would wave my BS flag, but no point in wasting my time. I've heard great things about this car, but honestly, stock for stock (of course no one stay stock) there would be no way an SS with an extra person in the car would be able to beat an SRT. Hell, even if the kid was a bad driver, just can't see it. I've spin my wheels in all first gear one time at the track, and still ran a 14.6 (worst run ever) which is still suppose to be faster then a stock SS. So are you saying that with an extra person in your SS, that you're still able to break into 14's? Not trying to bash here, just calling it like it is.

you do know my last post was a joke? and i'm sure an sti is just an impreza, and an evo is just a lancer...... what ever. if a pinto out preformed everything for the price i would have bought that.

04 srt4 with sunroof $20,600, stage 1 pcm $175, Boost controller $30, wastegate actuator $40, steelies and drag radials $250 = my car $21095. daily driver with 7 year 70,000 miles able to run high 12s priceless.



disclaimer. I have not yet run high 12s, but the power it is now putting down combined with the trap speed, and the possiblity of getting a 1.8-1.9 60 foot with drag radials the calculated et is around 12.8-12.9.

Honestly im a big chevy fan but i got beat by an srt4 the other day. we went from a roll of 30 n it was close but SHE pulled top end. So it does not matter the driver and dont anybody rag that i got beat by a girl in a neon. THATS WHY THE SS NEEDS MORE MODS. Anyone agree?
