Now not to be an a$$ but why does a Mustang need a supercharger? Corvette's never used one and Camaro's never needed one that has been a queastion that has bothering me because i never understud why. Not tring to be a dick. Sorry i just had to ask.

O BTW that sound of the supercharger was loud as $hit. :)

It didn't NEED a supercharger, but when svt was developing the '03, they originally wanted all motor. But during a 6th gear accel race vs. a svt focus, the damend thing lost!! So Tom Scarpello (head of the project) got pissed and said he wanted a blower put on the car. So they took the one off the lightning, and put in on the cobra (with massive amounts of engine work), and there ya go! The bottom end is virtually indestructible, so the trend is for many owners to put a 2.2L blower on it. That's right, a blower bigger than out engines!, and shove about 15psi into the engine=10 second car.

BTW, they are hitting low 10's ON STOCK INTERNALS...

I like to call it the v8 supra lol

LOL yeah i saw a person twin turbo a Corvette the damn thing had 1,100hp and like 900ftlbs. The owner got kick off a drag strip because he was going to fast for a street car. And he was pulling like a 10.xx and something like 200 + mph. It is a scary car.

Probably a Lingenfelter Corvette^^^ Lingenfelter personally built an LS1 w/ a twin turbo setup w/ 1186hp to the wheels and even more torque I think with an auto trans. 0-60 was 1.86 seconds (they said the only reason it wasnt faster was because of severe traction problems). It also smoked the dog shi-at out of a fighter jet (F-16 or F-18, cant remember)

Nope it was a LT1 Corvette the car was a 93.

the fastest cobra on stock internals, I'm talking not even the valve covers removed, ran a 9.38..I'm sure that LT1 had cams, pistons, rods, etc work done to it. When i mean stock, I MEAN STOCK.
