Black one w/ the sunroof is sold.... :( was trying to get a deal struck on it with a member by getting it dealer traded up to his dealer since they would have gotten him a better deal since he knew one of the managers there.

But yes, you do get something free ;) and it's including both AIRFARE and HOTEL. All you need to have is food money and gambling money(that should give a hint to where you are going, haha). And it's NOT a set date. We will work around your schedule. Buy/Lease, New/Used, Doesn't matter

HA, just like you had posted in the other thread.... LOTS of tirekickers now.

I work with alot of people coming in to our Ford and Chrysler/Jeep store, and they all pretty much say that it was a good marketing idea to get people out to the dealerships. I just don't think customers understand the concept of not being able to negotiate on the car price. That and I think people who DO visit the dealerships finally realize that there ISN"T a huge markup on vehicles. With the gas situation we still see our normal sales on the large SUV's, but alot of people trading them in on cars get to see that the Malibu's and Cobalts just don't have a huge markup, and then their trade in isn't worth anything because you can get $11k off MSRP on the Tahoe/Suburban. It especially gets weird cause we have an advertisement in the paper showing a bunch of vehicles and then listing 0% for 60 months. But you know as well as i do it's on vehicles we just don't have anymore of (Cavalier, Venture, and Blazer) but technically we can still list it. I dont feel that's right, but it's not my decision.

How's business for you?

"Sales" are slow, we are about 20 units behind last month right now. Lot traffic is amazingly high, but no real good leads.
I'm at 8 as of tonight which is about 4-5 lower than I usually am this time of the month. Just like you mentioned, we are selling tons of Impala's, Malibu's/maxx and Trailblazers, because of the GMS/big rebate discount. Customers are getting really excited when they see a sticker price of lets say $31,xxx then the GMS sticker price of $24,xxx

BTW, are you getting spiffs on every new Chevy?

I'm not a sales guy anymore. I've done my time and moved up to the GMBuypower Manager, but when they come in, I don't actually sell them. We get about 50 leads/day that I have to follow up on and run numbers for. When they come in they are basically "spoons' to the sales guys. I'm too busy doing that as well as the marketing aspect for our dealership(i work with alot of companies that their employees ONLY buy from our dealerships. all companies are either employee pricing eligible or supplier pricing eligible for ford/chrysler/jeep/chevrolet since those are our stores) you wouldn't believe how many companies chrysler/jeep gives out the supplier pricing too. I mean KMART of all places!! haha

We did have a Cobalt selling contest and a couple of the sales guys won $500-$1500 and one of our guys won the Cobalt or Cash giveaway they had. Weird to see them walk in with a stack of $100 money orders totaling up to like $12,000

Hey Autobiz, I work at Best Buy and we put TV's/DVD players/keyless/alarms/remote starts, etc on all sorts of dealerships vehicles for them, how would I find out if Best Buy employees are eligible for a supplier discount?!?!

Honestly, you probably wouldn't get the Supplier Discount in the same regards that Briggs & Stratton employees get(meaning each and any dealership nationwide) but because you do provide that dealership with services, you might be able to work something out with them with regards to that pricing. Supplier pricing on most of the small cars isn't all that much better than invoice. Well compared to the GMS pricing I mean. It's all up to the dealership. An old neighbor had bought maybe 10 cars from a certain dealership. Because he was a "good customer" they gave him and his family supplier pricing. In some cases, a good negotiator sticking to his guns, and a dealership wanting to sell a vehicle, supplier pricing can be reached, it's just taking away more from the dealers holdback really.

But like for Chrysler/Jeep, i have a list of 300 companies i think it was. maybe it was 200, i forgot off the top of my head. but they ranged from anything like Delphi Employees(people who build parts for GM and get GMS pricing but also some parts are starting to see there way onto other makes) to KMART employee and even Autozone employees too!! It's really weird.
