Hey everyone to start I have a 2006 Chevy cobalt ss 2.4L 5 spd manual and tonight something happened, I pull out of my parking space and alls good then I get to the stop sign and I put my clutch in and I can’t shift into gear, I didn’t hear a pop or a shake for the transmission and the clutch still has tension on it like normal but the shifter goes from 1 to 3 with out having to do the normal down and up. The shifter is free floating not going into gear but everything else is good I believe. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Too bad to hear about the issue. It's probably the transmission. I'll ask a mechanic friend this week when I bring my truck for the installation of a new set of tires from 4 Wheelonline plus the alignment.
